This restoration presented quite the challenge, particularly when restoring the cabinet. Tap the "Restoration Photos" link on the left to see a number of photos that were taken during the restoration process. all of the veneer on the cabinet had to be replaced.  As well significant structural repairs were required to the cabinet and veneer substrate. You can see in the photo on the far left that the radio was being held up with a piece of 2x2 glued to the base.

In addition to the cabinet all of the capacitors in the radio were replaced along with a number of resisters. The radio was aligned however you will notice some noise due to the condition of the original speaker. You will also notice that the front of the radio is missing its Escutcheons.  These normally encompass the dial indicator and the volume control and are extremely rare.  I've shown these below so you will know what they look like.
